At Debra Dianne-Fine Dressmaking and Bridal Couture, creating a custom garment is all about you. First, we will talk with you about your design concepts. We will discuss your event, the venue, your clothing style and even what you want this garment to say about you.
Once you have approved the design, a quote will be developed. The variables of the quote include but are not limited to design, fabrication, and the technical requirements of the garment. The quote will be emailed to you and will be valid for 30 days. Upon accepting the quote, a fitting will be scheduled. At this fitting, detailed measurements will be taken and a deposit (50% of quote) will be due. A tentative timeline for the various stages of the project will be developed.
Subsequent fittings will involve a muslin or “mock up” of your garment. Once the design, fit and proportions are determined through the muslin process, we will cut into your fine fashion fabric. Two or three more fittings may be required to further fine tune the fit and to mark the hem. When we mark the hem, the balance will be due.
When you pick up your garment, you will be asked to try it on one more time for your final approval.
Be aware that once the design and the quote have been accepted, any changes to the design may incur additional fees. We will make you aware of these additional fees at the time of the change.
Our goal is achieved when you feel absolutely confident and beautiful in your custom garment. It really is all about you.
